It's not all about cracking the exam it all about self confidence, thinking , learning and problems solving abilities. You must have  strong concepts knowledge and  how to apply your experience and  knowledge by relating with questions and answers. Concept 1.Syllabus knowledge  Firstly you must have Syllabus in hard copy. Start you journey from  Syllabus analysis deeply, try to mark the concepts of your prior knowledge and accordingly try to finish your units and syllabus. Like in UGC NET exam Research Aptitide, Communication, Statics, Comprehension Reading, Extension Education are common for paper 1 and paper 2 both . Focus on these units more.
